Hello to all my charming readers.
I hope you had read my first blog that is on
weather. This is my second blog which is
about Fraction for class 2 students. This time I focuses more on reflection on
content based materials which I have designed by integrating power point. First
of all the content based materials that I have designed was related to my topic
‘Fraction’ under mathematics curriculum. My main objectives here is to define
what does Fraction means and also some
types of fraction like Half fraction and quarter fraction. In addition to that I have also provided some
real example of fraction which we can see around us. Before going through the
real part of how, when and why I created the content based materials let me
share some information on importance of using ICT in our learning classroom.
Now, let me introduce you all about my
creation of materials. For my creation of materials I have used power point as
teaching and learning tools because it provides dynamic teaching styles which
can employ all different types of learner. I have created power point in such a
way that it can uphold the attention of students in glimpse. Since my topic is about
Fraction, I used some related tools from PowerPoints. Since my materials is
related to primary class and to make it realistic I have also downloaded some
images from internet. I used image in each slides to make learning more
attractive and help them to understand better. It will also help visual
learners to learnt better as it is visually represent with pictures and
different color combinations. In order to wipe out the monotonous feelings of
audiences while going through my presentation I have used various ingredient of
animation which includes entrance, emphasis, and exit in my power point
presentation
The
instructions for creating content based materials are as follows:
Ø
Firstly
with proper planning and looking an advantage I have chosen power point as my
ICT tools for designing my materials as I stated earlier it provides teaching
styles.
Ø
Depending
upon my topic Fraction I have downloaded some images which is realistic and
familiar to learners to make my slide attractive.
Ø
Secondly
before entering the zone of designing presentation I make some notes to keep
designing the presentation in systematic way. Because systematic is one of the
technique to make presentation better.
Ø
In
first slide, to gain the attention and to provide hint about the topic, I put some
pictures and wrote the topic in bigger size.
Ø
After that I have provided some definition and
example of fraction, halt fraction, and quarter fraction.
Ø
While
providing an example, I put some pictures which is real and which we have seen
before to make students relate it in their life.
Ø
My
activities are made in order to make student think and the activities were
designed to work them collaborative within group which is modern pedagogy which
also sustain student learning.
Ø
To
do activity I have also provided some pictures where they can look at that and
write the answer from that.
When am I going to use this materials.
the materials that I have uploaded will use during my lesson input and activity. the reason for using that is through my materials we will able to gain the attention of learners and make our learning more fun. as students will enjoy learning in concert way. it will use if we can't have a contact teaching or if we faced some pandemic like the current situation in such cases also we can use this video tutorials to delivered our lesson.
How am I going to use the Materials.
The materials that I have designed will be used during lesson input and activity, where I will show some pictures and tell them how it is related to the topic. after that I will also tell some real example we can see around us. for example my topic is about fraction, in that case i had put some pictures of apple and peach which is whole and one where cut into two equal part. through that students will know the concepts of whole and fractions. during activity also i have used shape like circles and triangle, then I divided it into equal parts and let students write the fraction of that shapes. in that way we can use my materials.
After integrating ICT in my lesson plan or in content based materials, I find it very effective and easy for me to teach. So, I urge you all to integrate ICT in your daily activity as it play a various role and make our life easy and for teachers as students it make teaching and learning more conducive.
